Origin
Why this case study is the first one Blynk publishes.
A prospective client searching "Nevada trial attorney" or "Reno criminal defense lawyer" passed three competitor firms before reaching Kenneth J. McKenna's name. Several of those competitors had thinner trial records and shorter Nevada Supreme Court histories. The mismatch between courtroom record and digital surface is the problem CJ Emerson built Blynk Studio to solve, and his father's firm was the first one it solved.
Kenneth has practiced Nevada law since 1980. The work spans four decades of trial counsel, criminal defense, high-asset divorce, property litigation, and business litigation. The professional record was strong before Blynk touched anything. The web presence was not translating that record into calls from the right prospects.
Blynk treated the practice like an owner problem, not a marketing checklist: prove the record, answer the searches, make AI tools understand the entity, and shorten the path from research to call. In the first 90 days, qualified consultation calls rose 240%.
The Moves
The site turned hidden authority into a usable intake path.
Before the rebuild, the firm's record lived inside a short biography paragraph. After the rebuild, the same record is distributed across dedicated practice-area pages, named matter pages, structured data, and clear intake routes. That distribution is what made proof crawlable and actionable.
The public site presents Kenneth as Nevada trial counsel and exposes a case record with pages for representative matters, including Nevada Supreme Court and Ninth Circuit work. None of this evidence is invented or hosted on a private platform. It lives at kennethjmckenna.com on its own indexable URLs.
Practice-area architecture
Each practice domain has its own page with its own URL, schema, and language. Criminal defense covers state and federal matters, including pre-charge representation and trial counsel. High-asset divorce covers contested property division, business valuations, and Nevada-specific community-property dynamics. Property litigation covers boundary, easement, and title disputes. Business litigation covers contract, partnership-dissolution, and shareholder matters. Trial counsel for other attorneys is its own page, because it is its own market.
Named matters as ranking proof
Representative case pages function as proof artifacts. Each matter gets a short structured summary — court, year, role, outcome category — so that a search engine evaluating Kenneth's authority for a given query has named, jurisdictional evidence to ground that authority in. The pages also serve a human reader scanning for relevant experience.
Search visibility
Search coverage grew because every page had a job.
Legal search is one of the most heavily contested local verticals in the United States, and Nevada has its own dynamics on top of that. Blynk narrowed the firm around the work Kenneth actually wanted: Nevada trial counsel, defined practice domains, representative matters, and selective flat-fee representation.
That specificity gave Google clearer pages to match to buyer-intent searches. Within 90 days, first-page coverage across tracked Nevada legal searches grew 4.3x.
Public attorney record
Public legal profiles and the Nevada State Bar record contribute to the entity picture Google builds for an attorney. When the name, jurisdiction, practice areas, and credentials match the public site, the entity is reinforced. When they drift apart, both Google and AI tools become uncertain about who the attorney is and what they handle.
Intake responsiveness
Legal search converts only when the proof and the next step are obvious. Fast phone paths, specific practice-area answers, and clear case-fit cues help a buyer decide whether the firm is worth contacting before they compare the next result.
Jurisdictional trust
Nevada legal queries strongly prefer Nevada-licensed attorneys with Nevada matter histories. A site that surfaces Nevada Supreme Court appearances, Ninth Circuit work, and county-court experience trains both buyers and AI answer engines that the firm is the right jurisdictional fit. Generic "national law firm" framing loses to specific Nevada framing on Nevada queries every time.
Entity clarity
Structured data made the practice easier for AI tools to trust.
The public site emits schema for the practice and the attorney: LegalService, Attorney, PostalAddress with Nevada locality and region, areaServed for the state, language availability, service types, and contact details. The practice-area pages emit Service entities scoped to the firm. The case-record pages emit Article-level metadata. Every entity points back to the same canonical Attorney and Organization @id values, so Google reads one consistent picture across the site instead of three competing ones.
Schema is not a magic ranking lever — Google parses many signals, and structured data is one. But for a buyer-intent legal query, schema is what converts "this site has the words 'criminal defense' on it" into "this site is a Nevada legal service offering criminal defense, run by a named attorney with a documented practice history." That distinction is what AI answer engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity rely on when deciding which firms to cite.
Across tracked AI-answer probes, the firm moved from no presence to appearing in 38% of the tested answer set in the first 90 days.
Positioning
The site narrows the offer instead of chasing every legal query.
The public positioning is selective: Nevada trial counsel, flat-fee representation in defined contexts, and specific practice domains. A page that tries to rank for everything ranks well for nothing. A page that says, in plain language and structured data, "this firm is Nevada trial counsel for these five practice areas, on these fee structures, in these courts" gives Google and AI tools the specificity they need to recommend it confidently.
Blynk's broader product applies the same discipline to other service businesses: define the market, expose the proof, structure the entity, and monitor whether search and AI tools are actually reading it correctly. The McKenna firm is the first place we proved the discipline works on a real public site, with a real record, in a real competitive market.
What this proves
Blynk turns proof into action, then measures whether it moved.
The structural proof still matters: anyone can open kennethjmckenna.com, view source, and see the entity references, practice-area pages, case-record artifacts, and intake paths described above. That is the public foundation.
The business result matters too. Blynk's ongoing intelligence layer tracked the first 90 days after launch, and Kenneth approved the public use of the results: +240% qualified consultation calls, 0% to 38% AI answer presence, and 4.3x more first-page search coverage.
Those numbers are not a promise about legal case outcomes or future results. They are proof that when a strong local operator's record becomes easier to find, easier to understand, and easier to act on, the right prospects have fewer reasons to choose the next firm.
